Enrolling a young person

If a young person shows interest in doing their DofE, they should:

1. Chat to their Section Leader or County DofE Adviser to find out more

2. Complete the enrolment progress for your County to start the award which will include the payment of a participation fee. This may be online or via an enrolment form

3. Wait for their County DofE Adviser to register them with eDofE (once the adviser has done this, they should receive an email containing their login details directly from the system)

4. Plan their own programme of activities to complete and log it on eDofE

Leaders can also organise an intro session, where they:

1. Share info on what the DofE and top awards are, why they matter, and what young people need to do to complete them

2. Invite parents along so they can also find out more. Check out the resources to help with this.

3. Remind those interested that they need to complete the enrolment progress for your County to start the award which will include the payment of a participation fee. This may be online or via an enrolment form

4. Remind County DofE Advisers to then register the young person on eDofE, so that they can receive their login details directly from the system, and can begin planning a programme of activities to log
