Black History Month is the annual celebration of the history, achievements and contributions of Black people in the UK.

Libraries Week is an annual celebration of the best that libraries have to offer. In 2023, it becomes Green Libraries Week and celebrates work around sustainability and climate change.

World Animal Day focuses on animal welfare and creating a better future for animals.

World Space Week's an international celebration of space science and technology, and how it benefits society.

National Poetry Day encourages everyone to make, experience and share poetry. The theme for 2023 is Refuge.

World Mental Health Day takes place every year on 10 October.
