Who are the International Service Team (IST)?

Some information about just who our UK Contingent International Service Team (IST) volunteers are.

The International Service Team (IST) are adult volunteers from Scouts and Girlguiding, who will work and support, often behind the scenes, to make the 25 World Scout Jamboree (25WSJ) in Korea happen.

IST work alongside the organisers to deliver any tasks necessary to make a World Scout Jamboree run, ensuing it is the best experience for the young people attending.

As part of the wider UK Contingent, IST support the development of our Contingent and play a key role in sharing our Vision and commitments, before, during and after the 225WSJ.

Read the International Service Team member role description (produced for those previously applying for an IST role in November 2021), for a full overview of the role.

More news and information about the team of IST who have been selected to support the UK Contingent at the 25 World Scout Jamboree can be found in UK Contingent select our International Service Team members.
