European Jamboree 2020

The European Jamboree takes place in Gdansk, Poland, on 2-13 August 2021

Building on a fantastic programme developed as part of their World Scout Jamboree bids, the Scouts and Guides of Poland would like you to join for 11 days of activities; combining the chance to develop new skills, make new friends from across Europe and experience Poland’s culture.

In May 2020, the European Jamboree 2020 was rescheduled to 2-13 August 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic

On 23 November 2020, the European Jamboree Organisers announced that the European Jamboree is now cancelled, due to ongoing COVID-19 risks

Who attends?

Participants are Explorer Scouts (14-17 during the event). They camp with a unit and enjoy the full international Jamboree experience

Adult Unit Leaders lead patrols of Explorer Scouts travelling to and camping at the event, helping young people safely enjoy the jamboree

Adult International Service Team members usually arrange their own travel to the event. They support the organisers to operate the site and jamboree activities

How trips from UK are managed

More than 50 UK Scout Counties, plus Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland plan their own unique trips to the event. Each micro-contingent has a European Jamboree "Point Of Contact" volunteer.
