European Jamboree

The European Scout Jamboree (or EuroJam) is an international Scouting jamboree organised by the European Scout Region of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM).

This page provides the most recent information regarding the cancelled European Jamboree which was due to take place in August 2021. There are currently no plans for the next European Jamboree.

European Jamboree 2020(+1)

In May 2020, the European Jamboree 2020 was rescheduled to 2-13 August 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

On 23 November 2020, the European Jamboree organisers announced that the European Jamboree is now cancelled, due to ongoing COVID-19 risks.

Who attends?

Participants are Explorer Scouts (14-17 during the event). They camp with a unit and enjoy the full international Jamboree experience

Adult Unit Leaders lead patrols of Explorer Scouts travelling to and camping at the event, helping young people safely enjoy the jamboree

Adult International Service Team members usually arrange their own travel to the event. They support the organisers to operate the site and jamboree activities

How trips from UK are managed

More than 50 UK Scout Counties, plus Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland plan their own unique trips to the event. Each micro-contingent has a European Jamboree "Point Of Contact" volunteer.
