Operations Committee Member (18-24)

Overview of the role

The role of a committee member (18-24) is to contribute to the decision making and discussion that takes place at the Operations Committee.

The role holder will bring their own knowledge and experience to the committee, helping us to build a greater diversity of thought and opinion around the table. Although not a paid role, all reasonable expenses are provided.

As a committee member, you will need to:

  • Contribute to meetings of the Operations Committee in person, or digitally.
  • Contribute to creating and monitoring plans to deliver The Scouts’ Strategy.
  • Assist the committee in monitoring and reviewing the strategic risks allocated to the committee by The Board of Trustees.
  • Assist the committee in changing and improving elements of Scouting for which the committee has delegated responsibility.
