County Commissioner for Derbyshire

Derbyshire Scouts are looking for an inspiring and motivated volunteer with management experience who wants to make a positive impact within their community as County Commissioner, leading and directing Scouting in Derbyshire. Key attributes needed include good interpersonal skills, confidence to make changes and the ability to encourage, lead and inspire others.

Do you, or someone you know, have management and leadership experience, excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to motivate, engage and lead a team? Are you able to support scouting to utilise digital technology, with a vision and new ideas for the safe return of face to face scouting? Are you a champion of developing scouting in the County and prepared to take risks and make choices which challenge the norm?

The successful candidate will be responsible for taking Derbyshire Scouts forward as a growing organisation relevant to young people and adults alike. Our current youth membership in the County is over 8133 young people supported by 3057 adults.
