  • 1937 Princess Elizabeth becomes a Guide; Princess Margaret joins as a Brownie
  • Princess Elizabeth attends the parade of King’s Scouts at Windsor
  • 1952 HM Queen Elizabeth reviews the national parade of Queen’s Scouts at Windsor Castle and takes the salute for the first time
  • 1953 Scouts assist the crowds at the Coronation of HM Queen Elizabeth II
  • HM The Queen accepts the Gold Wolf
  • 1954 HM The Queen attends a Gang Show at Golders Green Hippodrome, London
  • 1957 At the 1957 World Scout Jamboree, Indaba and Moot HM The Queen is received as a VIP
  • 1961 Baden-Powell House, South Kensington is opened by HM Queen Elizabeth II as a living monument to the Founder
  • 1972 HM The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh attend the 40th anniversary production of Ralph Reader’s Gang Show
  • 1975 The Duke of Kent is appointed President of The Scout Association by HM The Queen
  • 1976 HM The Queen formally opens the new Scout Headquarters at Baden-Powell House
