It’s drawing time!

  1. The person leading the activity should explain to everyone that they will be taking part in three drawing challenges. In two of the challenges they will be working on their own, and in one they will be working in pairs.
  2. Everyone should think about the Platinum Jubilee logo and what it symbolises.
  1. Everyone should take a piece of paper, a pen or pencil, and a copy of the Jubilee logo.
  1. Everyone should have a go at the challenges below. Once everyone has finished, sit together and encourage everyone to chat about what they enjoyed and which they found most challenging.

This activity needed you be creative, and helped you persevere more and solve problems. How did you find the challenges? Was one challenge easier than another? Which of your pictures looked most like the logo? Have a think about whether you remembered more about the logo as you did more challenges, and whether that helped you. For one of the challenges you needed to work in a pair with someone else. How did that go? Did you prefer drawing or describing? Think about whether you described the logo as lines or in shapes, or in a different way. How did it work for you? Would you use a different technique next time?
