Deputy UK Chief Commissioner (Transformation)
As Deputy UK Chief Commissioner, Craig leads our work on strategic transformation, collaborating closely with the UK Leadership Team to ensure members value and adopt the outputs from this work.
Craig has volunteered locally, nationally and internationally with Scouts for over 25 years, holding various roles which have provided a deep insight into the value of non-formal education and a comprehensive understanding of the positive impact Scouting has on young people and their communities. Craig has been fortunate to attend several World Scout Jamborees and has led numerous Explorer Belt expeditions.
A proud Queen’s Scout, Craig has held local programme roles with Venture Scouts and Scout Network and various UK roles including Deputy International Commissioner and UK Commissioner for Programme.
Most recently Craig served as Chairperson of the World Scout Committee, the main executive body of the World Organization of the Scout Movement, having served previously as Chairperson of the European Scout Committee. In these roles, Craig has had the opportunity to work in diverse and inclusive intercultural settings and has witnessed first-hand how Scouting adapts to local realities around the world.
Craig is motivated by a simple belief that every young person, no matter where they are in the world or whatever their background, should have the opportunity to join the Movement, so that they can benefit from the life changing opportunities that Scouting provides.
Professionally, Craig is a director in a digital transformation consultancy.
