The Digital Programme Leadership is made up of three teams each focusing on an aspect key to the experience of Scouts: Digital Transformation, Membership System and Learning System.

Digital Transformation team:
Zoe chairs the Charity Digital Code of Practice. She is also the founder and director at Zoe Amar Digital, a social enterprise and digital agency who help charities and other nonprofits lead digital change more effectively.
Becky has been volunteering in Scouts for the last five years where she has held roles in the sections and on the group executive committee. Becky is currently an ADC Inclusion as well as being in the Scouts Cymru Inclusion Team and the UK Inclusion Team. Professionally, Becky has been working as a SpLD Diagnostic Assessor for the last 10 years and more recently, she also works for Children in Wales where she manages volunteers and projects involving young people.
David has been an adult volunteer in Scouts for over 25 years. He has a background in electronics and software engineering and currently works in a connected medical device company. David has been a national trustee for 5 years with a passion for using technology to make delivering scouting as easy and flexible as possible. Read more about David's roles in Scouts here.
Aaron has been a Scout through all the sections and now, aged 22, is an Assistant Explorer Scout Leader alongside his national roles. Prior to joining the Digital Programme Board, he worked on a number of projects, including the Digital Citizen Staged Activity Badge refresh. Professionally, Aaron works as a Broadcast Engineer delivering television shows across the country.
Malcolm is the DC for Leatherhead and also the Chief Technology Officer at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.

Membership System team:
Tariq is currently SVP of Digital Product & Tech Strategy at Citi and has been leading digital transformation for 15 years within global enterprises. His experience includes both customer product and employee workplace innovation, digitising organisations inside and out. Tariq brings to the Scouts project board a wealth of knowledge in delivering human centric digital experiences and embedding a product-led culture, enabling organisations to deliver, iterate and scale faster.
Jason joined Scouts as the Head of Technology in January 2020. His previous 30 years in Technology cover a variety of roles including Development and Operations Management. As well as ensuring The Scout Association’s technology needs were met throughout COVID, he was instrumental in the partnership deal with Zoom to provide all Scout groups with free licences, and he continues to lead on all of the technology aspects of the digital transformation programme.
Jonathan is a Scout Section Leader and passionate about making digital tools work for all our volunteers. He joined the project board after assisting with the scoping of our new systems through the Volunteer Experience Group.
Liam has been involved in Scouts as an adult volunteer in various roles for 29 years. His main role for the last 13 years has been Group Scout Leader with 4th Morpeth, but he also helps with Castle Morpeth Explorers and is Chair of the AAC for Northumberland. Liam has spent over 20 years in IT/Digital mainly within the airline industry, latterly as Head of Solution Architecture for IAG. He recently joined the Civil Service in a Chief Architect role.
Learning System team:
Mark has over 30 years experience in various roles in Chingford District and at County level in Greater London North East. For the past four years Mark was the Area Chair for Eryriamon in North Wales where he now lives and has just taken on the new role as their Area Transformation Lead. Mark is a Chartered IT Professional working in Cyber Security advising the Welsh Government.
Stephen is the DC for Ynys Mon / Anglesey. Professionally, he worked for many years in Learning and Development at IBM, helping launch several successful digital learning programmes.

Ian has spent the majority of his career in financial services covering both product and project management. Having decided to move from the corporate world to the charity sector in 2019, Ian has worked in a few project management roles for charities focusing on mental health and grant making before joining Scouts in March 2021 as a Delivery Manager in the Transformation team.
James is the Senior Learning & Development Manager at Scouts and mainly focuses on the needs of staff. He’s been working in the learning field for over 20 years for a range of private, public and charity sector organisations, most recently the Metropolitan Police. He’s been in his role at Scouts since 2019 and works closely with the Digital team to achieve transformation through learning.
Gemma was a Venture Scout and is returning to Scouting to help steer our Learning System Project, bringing many years of experience of learning programmes and systems from a career in the University Sector.
Wulff was a Scout in Denmark for 20 years. Before joining the Scouts UK as a Learning Design Manager, Wulff has most recently worked as the international head of safety and safeguarding for a global charity, and as a researcher and lecturer of Education and Psychology. He has worked with children and young people as a teacher, Scout Leader and director of residential international camps. And he has trained people in intercultural competence, safety and safeguarding, and in delivering great activities to young people for more than ten years.
