The Scout Experience Survey

The Scout Experience Survey 2022

Every year we run the Scout Experience Survey to see the difference that Scouts makes to young people, as well as giving us a valuable insight into our adult volunteers and their thoughts and experiences.

After two eventful years, your views matter more than ever. They’ll make a real difference to the way we support you, to help improve our services, tools and resources. The aim, as ever, is to make Scouts as safe, easy and enjoyable as possible to help more young people gain skills for life.

Each year we ask adult volunteers, parents/carers and young people to fill in the survey, but this year we’d appreciate your help as volunteers to encourage more young people to have their say. Hearing their views will help us to make a real difference to how we impact their Scouts experiences. The feedback that you provide is also helpful in driving forward and prioritising the work we do so we can provide the best support for volunteers. We have seen some great results which we are really proud of but you have also told us about things which need to be improved.

Throughout April, the Scout Experience Survey 2022 will be available. I urge you to fill yours in and encourage young people, parents/carers and fellow volunteers to share their views too. The more people we hear from, the more accurate and refined our research and analysis will be and the more we can help you.

Fill in this year’s survey on www.scouts.org.uk/scoutsurvey2022 and then share it with fellow volunteers, parents/carers and Scouts, Explorers and Network. If you're part of British Scouts Overseas please use this link: www.scouts.org.uk/overseassurvey2022.

To help spread the word and generate even greater results, read this guide and use the email templates at the end to help share the survey link.

To all our amazing volunteers – thank you!
