Learning Designer - 2 Year Fixed Term Contract

Come and help Scouts inspire and engage learning experiences.

The Scouts is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to diversity and actively seeking applicants from a wide range of backgrounds, in particular, Black, Asian and ethnic minority communities.

Core purpose

Do you love designing learning experiences that are all about putting the Learner first? Do you get excited about creating engaging learning experiences?

We will be implementing a new Learning Experience System to help our 160,000 adult volunteers across the UK develop the skills and confidence they need to deliver amazing experiences to our young people. You could be part of making that happen!

We will need to review all of our current training materials to see what we can still use or need to redevelop.

We will be creating brand new content that delivers on what our volunteers really need.

We don’t want to be reinventing the wheel, so we will be exploring and curating content that already exists to bring to our volunteers.

Through it all, we will provide a personalised and engaging learning journey for all of our volunteers.

You will be working directly with volunteer and staff colleagues. We use an agile methodology, so we will be iterating and testing everything we do – participatory design with our learners is key! That also means you should expect to work some evenings and weekends, as our learners are volunteers and we want to engage with the widest range possible.
