HR Business Partner

Responsible to: Head of People

Department: People & Culture

Base location: Gilwell Park, Chingford, London (with hybrid working)

Term: Permanent

Salary: £48,563 per annum (inclusive of Outer London Weighting and a Market Supplement), Band F, Level 3

Hours: 35 hours per week

Line management responsibility: HR Administrator or HR Coordinator

A bit about the role

People & Culture is a diverse and dynamic team supporting People needs for over 500 members of staff in a variety of teams across the organisation, from Commercial Services and Support Services to Volunteering Operations, Marketing and Communication, and the Scout Adventures team. This variety of teams keeps things interesting, no two days are the same.

Scouts invests in People and therefore the People & Culture team, allowing us to innovate, develop and improve continuously. A current project this role will be involved in is improvements to our people practice from an EDI lens.

As a trusted business partner to managers across a number of departments you will be supporting the organisation in achieving our strategic aims through good people practices, providing advice and coaching managers in supporting their teams’ health and wellbeing. You will also lead on the design and implementation of change programmes, as well as supporting other people-related projects and initiatives.

As a Leader at Scouts you will get the opportunity to undertake our Brilliant Leaders development framework which is accredited by the Institute of Leaders.
