- Fundraising weekends in December 2008
Sainsbury’s has allocated two weekends in their stores 13/14 and 21/22 December, where groups can fundraise. Fantastic news for Scout Groups as December is a great time for fundraising initiatives. For ideas on fundraising and details on how your Groups can get involved please look out for details in future copies of Scouting Magazine and Scouting Plus.
- Active Kids for 2009
Look out for more information on the above in the Jan/Feb issue of Scouting Magazine and on Scouting Plus.Sainsbury’s, the Scouts and v will be continuing with their partnership. The projects they will be focusing on:
Increasing the number of people in the Young Leaders Scheme
14-18 year old’s can choose not only to belong to Explorer Scouts but help out with Beavers, Cubs or Scout. The Scout Association is working with Sainsbury’s and v to increase the number of young leaders.
- Recruiting Volunteers through Sainsbury’s employees and customers
The Scout Association has embarked on an exciting 3 year project with Sainsbury’s and v to promote volunteering opportunities to young people.
