Reunion 2012, the 86th event will take place at Gilwell Park Scout Activity Centre on 7-9 September 2012.
About Reunion
Reunion is an event which happens every year on the first full weekend in September (the friday must be in September). It was established to mark the occasion of the first Wood Badge course in 1919, enabling Wood Badge holders from across the world to come together as the 1st Gilwell Park Scout Group.
The event is now in its 86th year and has run since 1921 every year (except for four years during the Second World War) and is a gathering of around 2000 adults within Scouting.
In recent years the event has opened up to all adults within Scouting, from the UK and around the world.
What can I expect?
Reunion is an event which allows adults and Scout Network members to come together for a weekend full of:
- socialising with old and new friends
- programme ideas to take back to the younger sections
- training sessions and workshops on topics that affect you as an individual
- on-site activities
- meeting the UK Chief Commissioner and team
- evening entertainment.
