Get inspired at Reunion 2010

27/08/2010

The programme for this year's Reunion event is jam packed and hugely exciting. We’ve got loads in store, from bases, workshops and activities during the day to entertainment in the evening.

The event kicks off with an evening of 70s-themed fun on Friday so be sure to bring your best outfits, singing voices and sense of humour.

Support adults

Saturday's programme is all about enabling adults in supporting their sections on the Saturday.

We’ve got over 100 bases booked, from returning favourites like carrots roadshow and our HQ teams to a variety of new bases such as the Science Museum, I’m Famous and many more. On Saturday evening we turn Strictly Gilwell with dancing lessons, the timeless classic of the campfire and much, much more.

Develop adults

The Sunday programme concentrates on helping our adult volunteers to develop themselves and consists of workshops, practical skills bases, activities and various other sessions.

We’ve also got loads of activities going on across the whole weekend including tours, the Information Centre and Scout Shops. The weekend finished with our Scouts' Own and the Annual Meeting of the 1st Gilwell Park, where we will welcome members from across the globe.

Information and booking

If you require any more information, please visit the Reunion 2010 website. There are still some places available so book your place now for what promises to be one of the highlights of the Scouting year.

Its a shame there is no more information about exactly what the bases are on the Reunion 2010 website either... Is it going to include useful stuff like MIDAS, CEOP training etc, or is that going to be horrendously oversubscribed like last year?

This was the best reunion for several years, lots to do and lots to see.

Thanks to all involved.

Missed the tea and mingle to say goodbye on the training ground! Ah well can't please all the people all the time. ;-)
