Locally Organised National Events (LONE)
The Scout Association nationally does not organise events such as activity competitions. However to allow events like this to take place, locally organised events can apply to become the National event through LONE (Locally Organised National Event) status.
To gain LONE status an event will need to meet the guidelines below. Applications, using the application form below, will need to be made in plenty of time, early on in the planning process, as promotion as a national event is not possible until approval has been granted.
