Steve Brownless
I have enjoyed a varied Scouting career, starting off as a Cub, progressing to Scouts and then returning to Scouting after taking time out to follow my other interest, that of lighting/sound at the theatre. My chosen role upon return was to take up the challenging role of Scout Leader, which I thoroughly enjoyed for some 12 years as I did Group Scout Leader, which I progressed onto. More recently I have been, and still am a lead trainer, Training Advisor and County Fellowship Advisor for Humberside.
Giving active support to adults in Scouting has always been at the heart of my Scouting, as it is for adults who are the backbone of our Movement. With the potential for so many adults to be involved in Scouting, I can think of no better reason for the Fellowship to thrive and be a core part of what we do today and in the future.
In the few years that I have been involved with the Fellowship, at all levels of the Movement, I have seen many examples of active support which, as part of the Support Team, I look forward to encouraging in the future.
