DofE training funding
Adult members wishing to attend DofE training courses can get funding towards:
- Introduction to the DofE course
- Expedition assessor accreditation scheme (EAAS)
- Expedition supervisor training course
This funding covers 50% of the course fee and 50% of travel costs. If you are planning on attending a course organised by another operating authority, please note that we will be able to refund only up to 50% of the fee charged by The Scout Association. The cost of attending DofE courses organised by The Scout Association is currently £15.
To qualify for a refund the courses need to be accredited as part of DofE modular training framework. The funding does not cover equipment or accomodation unless they are included within the course fee.
In return for this funding, applicants are required to carry out their role of a DofE leader, assessor or supervisor for a minimum of two years (appropriate to the course attended).
Applications for this funding should be sent to Gilwell Park using the application form available below.

Submissions need to include course receipts and receipts for travel costs, including fuel receipts for car journeys (the fuel receipts do not need to be for the amount claimed in fuel as this will be worked out based on the mileage). Submissions without receipts cannot be paid.
