What do the government and our MPs say?

Ofwat is an organisation set up to regulate water companies, independently from the government. We have been lobbying the government to hold Ofwat accountable for the potential results of their policies.

Gerry Sutcliffe, the Minister for Sport has told us that, 'The government does not oppose the principle of site area based charging, providing it is implemented with due consideration for the impacts it will have on different customers.' What about MPs?

The issue has also been brought up in Parliament or several occasions over recent weeks. 

A Ten-minute Rule Bill was also introduced to draw parliamentary and public attention to the issue.

An Early Day Motion has been published on this issue, with over 80 MPs signatures.
